It's often described as ambivalence in motherhood, having strong conflicting feelings at the same time. And it's totally okay. Sometimes these look like thoughts of I love my child desperately and I am resentful of how much work it is to take care of her. I am grateful for a healthy pregnancy and I'm hating how much pain I'm in. This shows up so often for moms and can cause a lot of pain because we don't always allow ourselves to have negative feelings around motherhood relationships. Host Lindsay Aerts shares her conflicting feelings and talks with Dr. Jule Hanks of Wasatch Family Therapy and talks about what ambivalence is, why in our culture we don't always allow for it, and how to resolve some the guilt it may be causing. The Mom Show on KSL is hosted by Lindsay Aerts. KSL News Radio is part of Bonneville Media and based in Salt Lake City, Utah.
