You hear it all the time, "you're the perfect mom for your kids." But what if you're still feeling really inadequate, like you're failing your kids, or you're just not a good enough mom. Host Lindsay Aerts breaks down with Ganel-Lyn Condie, author of You're More Than Enough, You're Magnificent why you are the perfect mom for your kids. If you heard Kelly Clarkson on the Today Show Parenting conversation then you know that Kelly believes that because of her mom's "get up and dust herself off" attitude, she was well prepared to handle the trolls and mean people Kelly would later face in life in the public eye. Lindsay illustrates this is why you're the perfect mom for your kids. Even your perceived shortcomings will be something that can prepare your kids for challenges later in life. This is part of a 4 segment episode: You are More Than Enough. How do you know if you're a good enough mom? You define it for yourself. Host Lindsay Aerts talks with Ganel-Lyn Condie, author and public speaker, about why this is so important. In today's world, the standards are incredibly high for what a good mom looks like, we're bombarded with information on how it should be done, and in the social media age we see what other moms are doing every day. If you're feeling any sort of failure as a mom, it may be because you haven't clearly defined for yourself what it means to be a good mom and so you're just comparing yourself the often unrealistic standards of today. This is part of a 4 segment episode: You are More Than Enough. The Mom Show on KSL is hosted by Lindsay Aerts. KSL News Radio is part of Bonneville Media and based in Salt Lake City, Utah.
